End User Licence Agreement

Last updated October 30, 2026. These terms are provided in good faith and will be reviewed by counsel before sales open; the version in force is always the one on this page.

This End User Licence Agreement ("EULA") is between you and Dennon Forrester Developments, a partnership of Kody Dennon and Terry Forrester. It applies to our games (Wildbound and The Prince), their updates, the DFD Launcher and any related content (the "Software"). The Terms of Service, including their dispute section, also apply.

1. Licence

Our games are licensed, not sold. If you have a valid entitlement (a purchase, a subscription or membership, a gift or code, a demo allowance or playtest access), we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the Software for your own non-commercial entertainment, on up to three devices (PCs or phones) at a time, while the entitlement lasts. A demo licence lasts for its stated play time. A test-channel licence lasts while you have test access.

2. You may

  • play the Software and keep the saves you make;
  • stream, record and publish videos and screenshots of it, monetised or not, as long as they include your own commentary or gameplay rather than simply reposting our trailers, and don't claim to be official;
  • write and share guides, world seeds, notes and fan art.

3. You may not

  • copy, share, sell, rent or lend the Software, your account, your download, a code or a licence file;
  • remove, disable or work around licence checks, revocation, the demo limit or any technical protection;
  • modify, decompile, reverse engineer or disassemble the Software, except where the law expressly allows it despite this restriction (for example for interoperability);
  • distribute modified copies, cracks, cheats or tools that alter other players' experience;
  • extract the Software's assets (models, textures, sounds, animations, text) or use them, or the Software, to build other products, train machine-learning models, or for any commercial purpose other than videos allowed in section 2;
  • use the Software in breach of export laws or sanctions.

4. Third-party components

The Software uses the Unreal® Engine and includes software, art, scans and sounds licensed from third parties, credited on the credits page and in the game. Those components remain their owners' property and are used under their licences. Unreal® is a trademark or registered trademark of Epic Games, Inc. in the United States and elsewhere.

5. Updates and online features

The launcher downloads updates automatically when it starts. Some features (activation, updates, the supporters list, sending bug or crash reports) need an internet connection. Crash reports and bug reports are sent only with your consent; see the Privacy Policy.

6. Pre-release software

Pre-alpha, alpha and early-access builds are incomplete. They may crash, lose saves, or change or remove features. Development builds may include developer tools; using them on your own world is allowed.

7. Termination

This licence ends automatically if you break this EULA, if your entitlement ends (for example a refund, a chargeback, the end of a demo allowance, or a membership that ended before you kept the game), or if we close your account under the Terms. When it ends, stop using the Software and uninstall it.

8. Warranty and liability

The Software is provided "as is", as described in sections 12 and 13 of the Terms of Service. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.
