Installing Wildbound
Install the launcher, sign in and download the game.
- Download DFDLauncherSetup.exe (the DFD Launcher, home of every Dennon Forrester Developments game) from the download page and run it. It installs for your Windows user, so it does not ask for administrator rights. Setup asks where the launcher, your games and its data should go; any drive with room is fine.
- The launcher opens your browser to sign in. Approve the launcher there and return to it.
- Choose where to install the game (any drive; about 15 GB) and press Install.
- When it finishes, press Play. The first start activates this PC.
Windows SmartScreen may say Windows protected your PC the first time, because the launcher isn't code-signed (we don't use paid code-signing certificates). Choose More info, then Run anyway. The publisher shows as Unknown publisher; that is expected. Only run a setup downloaded from the download page.
The launcher keeps itself up to date: when a new version is out it updates on start-up and opens again. Every game build and every launcher update is checked against our digital signature before it is used, so a tampered file is refused.
